Since 2011, we have lead the way in helping adults with autism succeed.

Our is Mission is simple:

The Brightstone Foundation was created to help adults with Autism have meaningful lives.

Brightstone Foundation is an individualized Young Adult non-profit located in Gainsville, Georgia. We are a community integrated, coaching and mentoring model offering support for neurodiverse young men and women. Our motto, Independence through Application, allows each client to gain and apply the necessary skills and social accuity in real time through an individualized, personal growth plan based on their level of need.

Each of our young adults has experienced their own journey prior to Brightstone. For some, the social and academic pressures of a traditional journey proved too much, for others they have discovered barriers in the home setting, and for some Brightstone provides continued support from framework of other therapeutic programs. Regardless of the circumstances that may bring our young adults to Brightstone, our staff meet each client where they are at and treat them with dignity and respect throughout their time working with us.

Our clients are young men and women, ranging in age from 18-30 who desire to be accepted and crave an independent life but have been challenged due to overwhelming anxiety, slow processing speed, lack social acuity, feelings of defeat, fear of failure, self-limiting beliefs and generally don’t feel they “fit in”. We see a variety of diagnosis: ADHD, ADD, OCD (mild), NLD, LD, or Autism Spectrum Disorder Level and often have multiple diagnosis.

Our clients are high-functioning, bright, and typically anxious in new situations. They tend to struggle socially and/or academically, and haven’t learned the life skills necessary to be successful. Our clients are capable of success, but have been unable to achieve/maintain that success. Many have failed to “launch” and often appear unwilling or unable to achieve the milestones established by their peers.

Our clients often come to Brightstone feeling frustrated and defeated by their inability to keep up with family and societal expectations. Providing our clients with a change in environment, an opportunity to discover their abilities, and an environment that allows them to not fear failure but to push beyond the fear, empowers the individual to reach their potential personally, socially, vocationally, and academically. These feelings of accomplishment are the catalyst that allows them to achieve their goals, proficiency in life skills and live independent, successful lives.
